In 1821 Mexico won independence from Spain. Texas became part of Mexico, Anglo-Americans settled Texas. In 1836 the Texas revolution began. In 1936 Americans lost Battle of the Alamo, they later won Battle of San Jacinto and form Republic of Texas. In 1845 Texas join the Union as 28^th state.
